  5. The more these people get put in creative control the more we see who they truly are. I hope the studios keep letting them make movies. It will be easier to see them. Eventually it will start to dawn on people who the actual baddies are. These people identify more with the evil people in stories. That pretty much speaks for itself.

  6. I still dont understand the Doctors fetish for Humans. I mean he is a Time Lord. A Time Lord and a human having a romantic relationship would be akin to a Human and a Chimp having a romantic relationship. I didnt get it with the whole Rose obsession and this is just doubly so. The Doctor almost always seemed to view his companions like pets.

Margaretes father, a count, owned a lot of copper mines, which employed... children. Margarete was famous at the time for her stunning beauty, fair skin, golden blond hair and ruby lips. She was supposed to be married to the crown Prince Phillip III son of Charles V of the Holy Roman Empire. But died from suspected poisoning. A decade later an apple farmer was found guilty of killing children with poisoned apples who stole apples from his orchard. The Brothers Grimm were exceptional writers. Shame modern ones cant even come close.

  9. Nowadays very few writers have any real world experience. Their most pressing need is who to vote for in the next election. Look at the lives of writers in the past. World wars, civil wars, mass starvation. The modern world is, even with its dark corners, a very safe and reliable place. That makes for boring lives. And boring writers.

  10.  @MrWepx-hy6sn  It is a huge issue. These writers live in bubbles. They dont have any idea what true diversity is. Its the main reason why characters in modern media are paper thin. And while this is huge in Hollywood its starting to be a big issue in other forms of media as well, like games, anime, and to a lesser extent, published sci fi. And your ability to self assess speaks good things about you. But these people, most modern day Hollywood writers, put out trash and think its gold, they lack any sort of introspection that real world experiences forces into you, sometimes with brutality. But you of course are free to disagree with me. You wont hurt my feelings.

So thats probably my fault But in the end, the best part about youtube is the exchange of ideas. Unfortunately the comment section turns into a flame war typically. And yes they are hacks. The worst hacks are the ones who take others hard work and warp them because they can. I cant remember who said it, it wasnt me, but the term literary vandal was used. Its a good descriptor.

  24. I just want to know how to they place this Kenobi with the Kenobi who fights Maul at the end of Rebels. Because that Kenobi, at the end of Rebels, is the Kenobi from a new hope. Its like these people dont even know the characters they write for. You would think Disney would want to protect its largest and most profitable IP. But they just trash it.

  27. I have a hard time believing that these movies or steaming service content cost as much as they do. People already forget about the bank busts. Thats when Disney fired Chapek and when all their financial issues "started". They are clearly fudging their books to make it seem things are ok, attributing losses to production rather than investment. Disney had some really bad investments, many probably borderline illegal, so they are looking to cover their asses. Disney has dealings all over the world. They have clearly gotten in over their heads. The problem is their ideology will prevent them from being able to recover financially. For most people their politics, at the end of the day, is just politics. But for these people its akin to religion. They will not change. They will die before they do. Its sad, but, someone is going to be picking up a lot of severely damaged IPs for pennies on the dollar in the future.

The worst part about all this is that if the people who make this and push these types of things have their way, in 20 years this show will be seen as backwards, non inclusive, racist, sexist and any other ist they can think up. If the general population pushes back, it will just be seen as a hot piece of garbage that reflects the ideas they pushed back against and only lampooned for the period that it appears in as a warning. The only thing I am certain of is that either way, we are going to "progress" forward or go back. Well that and Star Wars is truly dead.

  35. This is what happens when you go from a financial environment for a better part of a decade where interest rates were at about 0.25%, until 2 years ago. Now they are above 5%. Thats a 450% increase in the cost of money. Play times over. Time for adults to run things again. Over the next two years, as all the corporate debt needs to be rolled over. When studios will need to take out more loans to fix the things that broke due to piss poor supervision, a lot of IPs are going to get sold. Its going to be fun watching all this play out.
