Every generation has been told they were fools by their elders. You can literally go back and look at Roman and Greek writings about how the "youth" was no good.

People say the same about a lot of things. A job takes away my freedom. A spouse takes away my freedom. Thats incorrect thinking. The freedom is in the choice. If you choose not to have a child, thats fine. But own it. But I can tell you, as a father of 3 sons, having them was not a loss of freedom. In fact now that they are older, its a benefit of an unimaginable order. But when they were infants, yea it was some work.

@ga6589 I'm not proposing anything. I am just stating the cause and the inevitable end result of choices. Men in ever western nation are forced to sign up for some conscription like system in the event of war. Women are not. Does that make men slaves?

If you look at the UN the number one way they say they can reduce birth rates in developing nations is through continuing women's education. I wonder what would happen if that, oh I dont know, stopped? The answer is there, but no one wants to say it because they will be the bad guy. Its fine though, as the larger sized age cohorts grey, their will not be enough people to pay into the system, deficits will explode and eventually default will occur. At that point the social welfare state implodes and most of the soft jobs do to. At that point it will get ugly and things will resort to a more traditional way. Except for those old women who had no kids. Old women with no children never fared well in any time or in any culture. I know, I am the bad guy for say thing this. And I am ok with that.

@JohnDoe-ef3wo indeed, to few shoulders to hold up that welfare state. Then the debt crushes a nation and they default. And then those without family are alone. Alone in nature gets you dead or worse.

@edenbreckhouse Things like the battle of Athens shows that just isnt true.

cope
1
@Ghost protocol People dont understand that is the end result of this. The welfare state implodes but not before it fully collapses the nation state.
1
@Nithinithinith It is. Women did it in far worse conditions of tens of thousands of years. Currently its the safest its ever been. It is a cope. This is the easiest its going to get. They dont want to have children, thats fine. But when they are old and grey do you think the few young ones are going to take care of them? These women and men do. I dont care either way, my family is large and intact and we take care of each other and dont need a welfare state. But when it does break, 10s of millions, mostly women, are going to suffer greatly. So yea, its a cope on them to cry about it now. You can see where we will be in ten to twenty years if you look at places like South Korea and Japan. It would be funny, but people dont care. So they will suffer.

LA today is like the old Caesar III video game when you got a fire that got out of control. Burns up half your city before you can get a handle on it. That said, the winds down there are crazy. We cant stop all disasters, nature is to powerful. But we can try to mitigate them. But when diversity politics take precedents over actual civil protection, well, you got the government you voted for LA.

immigration, as another poster stated, is just a side effect of needing to bring in more workers and importantly consumers. Consumers raise your GDP which means your nations debt doesnt crush you. But eventually the social welfare systems most western nations have will collapse. The only way to prevent that is to force women of that nation to have a certain amount of children. But people dont want to look at that. Its sexist.

congrats, may your children be fat and happy

@elijahhernandez906 “The children now love luxury; they have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for elders and love chatter in place of exercise. Children are now tyrants, not the servants of their households. They no longer rise when elders enter the room. They contradict their parents, chatter before company, gobble up dainties at the table, cross their legs, and tyrannize their teachers.” -Socrates (probably, per Plato) I can give you more quotes, if you like. But most of Socrates's quotes would fit our time, just as well as it did his

@blossom1290 that's fine. I don't really think you understood my point though. Perhaps I did a bad job communicating it. I'll rephrase. Men have a social obligation to the state. In time of crisis or war their personal liberties are set aside for the greater good of all the people of the state. Women, as of this time, have no such social obligation. The question is should they? But I know it won't happen. Which again is fine. But who do you think k will suffer the most when nations implode?
1
@avppr3451 It will collapse if you dont have children too. Who is going to pay the taxes and consume goods and services if they arent there.
