  1. Or, Neanderthals are an offshoot of the Denisovian who mated with early H sapiens. It would explain why Denisovian and what we consider Neanderthals to both be in our DNA as well. Neanderthals could just be the resulting hybrid group between us and the the Denisovians. Then years later, after an original group of H sapiens interbred with a group of Denisovians, a different group of H sapiens pushed int hat same territory and again made contact but this time its the descendants of both groups but they are now Neanderthals. And considering that we have very little actual bone remains from Denisovian it might explain why Neanderthals look so much like us, compared to other hominids.
