  1. We celebrate Christmas because it's Christmas("Christ-Mass"-a gathering of christians.) We don't believe in Santa and many don't put up trees, but we use it as a demarcation of the day Jesus was born( knowing the whole time he was a spring baby born in March). Like someone choosing a different day to celebrate their birthday for convenience. St. Nicholas was a real person who ran around gifting things. Also the patron saint of prostitutes but that's another story. Never the less, it is a Christian holiday in which we celebrate the greatest gift of all, Jesus. By giving, fellowshipping, and gathering together in brotherhood.
