We are a republic endowed with inalienable rights, by a creator; which are enumerated in the constitution. Defining the power distribution to be limited in the federal level and almost limitless at the state level. Today we are almost to a democracy where now opinion has circumvented logic and common sense and we have federal government using the lazy masses pleas to take liberties(literally) with enforcing"security"at the cost of your Rights and personal privacy. God's help us if we ever really become a democracy and allow popular opinion to dictate who gets to live and who gets to die. Cause that's what it will come down to.
