Hint: A private company deciding what's on their platform isn't "censorship".

@ulrickts They are not even close to monopolistic. There are a million message boards, online forums and social media apps for you to enjoy to your heart's content. There is no "right" to free, unencumbered use of "the most popular one" of anything. People seem to like Gab, give it a shot.

@terminsane I have no problem with that. Just have everyone who wants to use the service sign a crazy TOS that immunizes the company from lawsuits, the same type of disclaimer that Trump rally attendees had to sign. If you want to use the service, go ahead, but you do so under the agreed terms, which waives your right to sue.

@terminsane I'm fine with that.

murb ash So... you think Breitbart should be forced to publish pro-ANTIFA articles? And the Christian Coalition should be forced to publish pro-abortion screeds? Strong position, very interesting.

murb ash The masses are silenced? What ever did we do for thousands of years before there was Twitter? Was it "Tyranny"?

murb ash P.S. Breitbart does have an open commentary section. Read it if you dare, there's so many n-words and threats of violence, it'll singe your eyebrows. But if that's your jam, go for it.

murb ash So... we had Tyranny every year before Twitter? Hell, if the best years of this country were "Tyranny", I'll take it.

@terminsane No, I'm not advocating for an ISP to censor anyone. Twitter is one site among billions, all of which use ISPs. If you like Twitter, use it, and give them money. If you don't like Twitter, use something else, and give THEM money. That's the beauty of Capitalism. As opposed to Tyranny.

@terminsane If AMD and Intel add surveillance hardware, I'll use an Apple A12-chip computer. They'll be happy to get all the business from anyone who doesn't want surveillance hardware in their machine. Funny enough, that scenario is literally happening right now, with Apple removing - and blocking - all tracking software, while other companies won't. Apple pitches that, I hear it, I like it, I pony up the cash. That, again, is the beauty of Capitalism.
