I remember in the late 90's/2000's, when various avian flus were sweeping China, and you'd see everyone wearing a mask. BECAUSE DUH. It's a freaking respiratory virus that enters your nose and mouth. We didn't look at those videos and say "Those idiot Chinese people, what sheep." But now, there are VAST amounts of money to be made by pushing Reactionary Idiocy.
