  1. When he said he'd pick a woman as Veep you could almost hear the collective facepalming of his advisors. Never lock yourself in to a decision that big too early.

  2. They're trying to find a woman who he could name, but then turn it down while announcing a more qualified man for the position. It's about the only legitimate loophole that will let him get out of the woman for Veep promise.
