  1. Here in Florida we have no state income tax. It's in the state's constitution. Every 20 years it comes up for review, and every 20 years the powers that be ask for the power to implement an income tax "if necessary". They are always careful to say that they aren't implementing a tax, only asking to possibly, maybe, if absolutely necessary, temporary, so low you won't even notice tax. Every 20 years the people vote on it. It usually fails around 80-20 against. Yes, this state may be a free range insane asylum. But even we aren't crazy/stupid enough to give Tallahassee that power.
