  3. USAAF pilots doing a followup to the bombing of Dresden couldn't see it through the smoke. Instead of just bombing the middle of the smoke. (Hint, that was a sign of the target.) They kept going until they could confirm they were over a city, which they thought was Dresden. It was Prague. They bombed the wrong city in the wrong country.

  4. From an esthetic point of view, I love the aircraft of the 1950's and early 60's. Most didn't work out in the long run, some designs were DOA because of changing tactics and technology. But they were beautiful planes.
