  2. Late 60's/early 70's van life wasn't just for hippies. My folks had a 1968 VW camper we drove around the US and Europe. My father was career Navy and my mother is a former nun. (Seriously) Politically my dad was somewhere between Barry Goldwater and Archie Bunker. I have great memories of spending Summers living on the beach in that thing.
