Also the front and rear tires required different pressure. Odd in most cars except some exotics. Having the wrong pressure in the rear could cause it to buck in hard braking or the rear end to swing out unexpectedly.

GM would try again at the end of the decade with another small(ish) high output engine. DeLorean liked the high revving sixes in some European sports cars and approved the Sprint 6 for the Firebird. Unfortunately American buyers didn't like it's lack of low end torque (Compared to the V8s offered) and weren't used to having to rev up an engine to get optimum performance, so it didn't catch on. It would have also been required to be severely detuned to meet new emissions standards that were introduced soon after. This would have just made it an expensive 6 cylinder option.
