  1. I had only heard of the events in passing. Like Russian, or other Soviet citizens who were POWs asking to not be sent back. This is the first time I saw it as an overall policy of the US and UK. I had no idea it was so extensive or resisted to such a degree.

  2.  @tianwong152  I tend to be more forgiving if someone engages in betrayal/treason for ideological reasons. But I live in a nation (USA) that was founded by traitors.
