@wolfmommy541 Look up "Conspiracy" under most state laws. If you present something as authentic, and try to sell it illegally, it's the same as actually selling the real thing. Most prosecutors will take into account that you only had a fake item and this will help get you a reduced sentence. There are a lot of people in prison who bought glorified playdough from undercover law enforcement thinking it was C4 or a similar explosive. They were still convicted and sent to prison.
