There are a few indices that take into account things like food, gas, rent, etc. But not commonly used. Unemployment is also figured in different ways. Real unemployment is usually about 50% more than the given number.

Remember "Transitory Inflation"? We were told it was a short term spike due to supply line issues. That was three years ago! Three years is not a spike, it's the new normal.
