  1. I try to avoid the "You get what you voted for" mindset, usually. I feel for the average employees and citizens who are getting screwed because of decisions someone with more power made. BUT. SF didn't just vote for these new policies. They saw them put into effect, saw the resulting problems, then doubled down a voted for more. Almost every failed social experiment they've tried has been responded to by trying the same thing, only bigger. If you hit your thumb with a hammer, I'm sympathetic, I'll try to help. But after you've broken 7 fingers, your foot is in a cast, and can barely hold a tool, you are on your own.
