  1. Target "Please customers, stop calling the police when you see criminals doing criminal stuff in our stores. We aren't going to press charges regardless of what they're arrested for." Also Target "Don't blame us for higher prices. All our stuff keeps getting stolen and the regular paying customers have to make up the difference." Remember when "See something, say something " was hammered into our collective heads? Now "No snitching" has gone from the hood to the corporate boardroom.

  2. If the "victim" (Target) refuses to file charges, what's the point? If I steal your car, but you won't report it as stolen, did I steal your car? Once I figure out that you aren't going to report it, I'm effectively borrowing it without prior notice.

  3. They just raise the prices so normal people get to cover the extra costs. Sort of a woke theft tax.
