Remember "Transitory inflation"? No one ever seemed to be able to define it, but it always came down to "when the supply issues were worked out". Only a few months. That was four years ago.

@1685Violin Unpaid internship is very rare. And fairly stupid unless you have a secondary support system after graduation. In most cases it's limited to people still in school. Even then most internships/training is still paid. (Admittedly, not much) Not blaming the students, but too many put off additional or real world training until after they graduate and find out companies were serious and the "experience needed" thing. Even when I was in school back in the 80's it was understood that a degree plus experience was worth way more than just a degree.

Applebee's burgers are $10, including fries (or side) on Mondays. Bigger burger, about a dollar more than McDonald's. Tuesday's are all you can eat chicken tenders. Check similar chains in your area, most are running specials of some sort. When dine in mid tier restaurants are around the same cost as fast food drive thru something has gone very wrong.
