  2. It would be a State's Attorney from Illinois or possibly a federal prosecutor. They can't see corruption just a few miles away in Chicago. Do you really think she'll pop up on their radar? Kind of like shoplifters being ignored if what they are stealing is worth less than $1,000. If an elected official can keep their theft to under $1 million a year, it isn't really a crime there.

  4. Check out some union jobs. Many UAW representatives also work the line. But they collect a check for both simultaneously. So a 40 hour week gets them 80 hours of pay. All that before overtime kicks in.

  5. I live in a town with twenty times the population. Our mayor gets a driver, just one, on loan from the police department. No caravan of escort vehicles. Only for official business, though that can be pretty open to interpretation.
