  1. Supermayor thought she was protected from charges because she had her assistant sign all the paperwork. Surprise! When your assistant/secretary/whatever has the power to sign on your behalf, their signature is your signature. I guess she missed that part during the business law classes. It also looks like she's trying to run a ghettoriffic version of a mafia power structure where the big boss is protected by the lower bosses. It works well until the underlings decide they want to have a long chat with the feds. And her assistant seems very chatty.

  2. I think the Illinois AG is hoping to wait for an election. Once she's voted out the AG Office can let it quietly slip away. Dragging a strong, back, independent woman (Who happens to have a D in front of her name) is going to be a PR circus. The feds are also investigating, but I can see them dumping the whole mess on the next administration.
