  1. One company was offering no daily charge, just milage for anyone driving to certain cities in California from out of state. Others are changing extra fees up front if your listed drop-off location is outside of California. Got to get those last few bucks from you on the way out.

  2. Choice between my job or my family? Family wins, no competition. I wonder if the news people bothered to check how many other people in the area have left the state in the past few years. There's a reason California's population is dropping despite the incoming flood from the south. Also the shortage of U-Haul and similar rental trucks.
