  1. It can be real. I had something similar to this once in a dream. I don't remember the details, just the fact that I basically met a girl with whom I felt in love with, she was amazing. Not sure if there were kids, probably not. Before waking up I managed to realize that I'm about to wake up and at the last moment I said goodbye to her, promising to find her after my life on earth ends.

  11. We can't know this for sure, but it's possible that he made another mistake. See, most people, if they get in a such situation — a whirlpool trying to pull them down while they are low on oxygen, try to apply force and swim up, following their instinct. However it only makes them spend their oxygen faster. What is better to do is to actually swim downward to the bottom, where whirlpool ends. Then on the bottom, where the current is weaker and there's no downward force, swim to the side and only them ascend to the surface. But most people don't know this, and a lot of those who do tend to panic and forget about it. So it's possible that this is what happenned to him and caused him his life.
