What was the NATO doctrine regarding those, i.e. they created the same problem of airbases being in huge risk 2)Satellites can be targets too, maybe it's better to shoot them down than tolerate them 3)1000 mile AA missiles would be extremely expensive, probably drones simulating tankers would be the best counters
