There's a lot to unpack, but shortly, Patrick Bateman is not a sigma(at best he tries to be one) but more of a beta(not in a sense of low level male, but rather high, but below alpha), it can be argued that he's even gamma; it's hard to become even alpha and beta, not even talking about sigma, psychology is just part of a trick; almost all women can't manipulate even alphas, barely betas(the exceptions are literally rare on the scale of human history) and the male type outside of hierarchy is zeta, not sigma.
