@jacobpalmer9912 U.S. is only a serious trading partner of Taiwan because this country has the monopoly on semiconductor industry. Fortunately, it looks like Trump has just make a deal with Taiwan to do more business in Arizona.

It's already done. The PM of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal publicly thanked the U.S. [for all the foreign aid & arms] provided to them since the start of the war. The meeting of last Friday is now officially Over, so let's move on to more important things rather than fostering 'hurt feelings' on the part of the great American superpower's leadership.

@matthewroy7718 It was not good optics, that's for sure. Even though plenty of Americans seemed to like the push-back & bravado towards Zelenskyy last Friday, it is obviously not the 'catastrophic loss' to Z. & the war that the U.S. media is playing it to be. By the way, Trump and Putin are meeting together in Saudi Arabia within the next week or two as I've learned to discuss Ukraine and this was set up not too long ago (a week or two).

Today March 4, 2025, the Ukrainian Prime Minister publicly announced to the United States that he / Ukraine were thankful and appreciative of all of the Aid the United States has given his country from the beginning to the present. No need to waste time asking Zelenskyy to say "Thank you, USA" since Ukraine's Prime Minister has done so. Hope that suffices.

What's not to get? The new money Ukraine is now receiving from Europe and in particular the Eastern European countries is a very nice infusion of dough.

@Sure_You_Betcha I think what we saw on Friday was a complete charade and was very intentional that there would be no "DEAL". There's been significant changes in this Minerals Agreement since it was first agreed upon between U.S. & UKR. The ROI on this deal was basically not a WIN/WIN, but was essentially likely a LOSE/LOSE scenario according to the U.S. strategic & international studies group in Washington.

@ Israel doesn't need a blank check either. All the U.S. wants is a deal that ultimately benefits the U.S. economically anyway. If it was actually about PEACE, then there are a half dozen countries that needed U.S. Aid but didn't get American help because it did not benefit the U.S. and or its defense industry, the favorite cash cow.

Remember, this is the United States that made the decision to give Ukraine whatever type of aid it needed supposedly for the "War". At any time, the U.S. could've said "pack sand". Instead, the U.S. for years has given trillions to Ukraine with the assumption that Ukraine wouldn't want to ask other countries and entities for $$$. The Minerals Agreement was never going to be as good as the U.S. had initially predicted it would be especially with tweaks and changes to the deal/no deal all along.

@mbluett88 not selfish! Perfectly sane! America FIRST, domestic issues before foreign handouts. What part of this is hard to understand?

@r11tc ok, who was it then?
