  4. The fire Chief is responsible! The Governor merely had to provide everything the LAFD needed, including resources of all kinds from other states. Apparently, that is/was happening, but just not on the scale of what was truly needed in a biblically catastrophic firefight.

  5. waiting for election time before any change (might come) is nuts. These culprits must be forced to resign immediately. The people need to protest the people in charge who have positions of power at this moment until they're out and a concerned, proactive, qualified and experienced official is in place. ! Doing anything less than that is condoning what "is" and putting off necessary action.

  6. Absolutely right. That would be stupid and dangerous. Even having the traditional format of an Inauguration ceremony and all the day's pomp and circumstance should be reduced, cut out, relocated, and whatever else is necessary. First and foremost is Trump's protection. If anything happens to him, it's his TEAM's fault at each and every level. This is a very distressing thought for me and many of us who want to see him complete his second term.

  9. 1000% AGREE, developers are just as responsible. Anything built in this area from 1990 to present should've been under extremely strict requirements.

  13. Is it conceivable a stand-down order of some type was put out? Something like what Nancy Pelosi did on January 5th which was that she told Capitol Police that they'd only need half the normal shift on duty for the next day. In other words, if LAFD needed resources to fight a gargantuan fire of biblical proportions, and there were a few days advance notice that this was what was looming, then were was the weak link(s)? what am I missing?

  15. Californians have been moving out of the state since the 1960s. Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Montana, Idaho, Colorado, and of course Arizona - all have large numbers of ex-pats.
