Financial cost Environmental cost Governance Political Stability African countries should lift their own citizens out of poverty instead of doing multi billion dollar megaprojects that could potentially fail in the long term. As Brian said in the video it has to be a grassroots effort instead of new age foreign megaprojects that extract resources out of North Africa into Europe. These megaprojects aren't mutually beneficial at the moment.
