@kapioleilanionalanielua It's implied the man was abusive (to Paulette and the dog) and that he kicked her out and left her with nothing. Paulette doesn't want to take away his home and his livelihood, she just wants the dog back. If Paulette could've afforded an actual attorney she probably could've left him a lot worse off.

Does it really matter? It's kind of splitting hairs. It's not like someone's confusing the manager for the janitor.

@wheelmanstan You seem to have missed the entire point of his character arc in the movie. Well done 👏

Most of the criticisms are nitpicks because of how things need to be streamlined for a movie. A lot of the technical details, especially to do with the military, the guy just basically says "that's not how it works" without really explaining how it does work.
4
A haircut you can set your watch to!
4
@Stellar-Cowboy Then stay focused on what you're meant to be doing and watch YouTube videos when you actually have the time then.
3
@essentialatom They didn't have time to go over the entire movie. They just cherrypicked a few scenes they thought would make for some interesting discussion. They've both clearly seen the movie a number of times and are big fans of it. They're just having fun ripping on some of the more technical details that are almost entirely inconsequential to the average viewer.
3
@Kevs442 That attitude sucks. You're not better than anyone.
3
@Stellar-Cowboy Why not just watch the video and see for yourself?!?!?
2
Exactly. They were seriously reaching with that one.
2
@casemcdonald2152 You need to brush up on your reading comprehension.
2
Why are they so goddamn sensitive about this!?!?!?
2
Clearly, they didn't watch and dissect the movie from start to finish. They chose all of maybe 12 minutes of scenes that they thought would make for good discussion.
2
@Thalaranias He is compelled to tell the truth but finds little ways to skirt around it or delay answering, so it's not inconsistent. He avoids saying he beat himself up in the bathroom by saying a "madman" did it and then describing his own physical characteristics,
2
@calebshaffer2283 The rules are consistent. While he is compelled to tell the truth, he does manage to find a few clever little ways around the truth without actually lying. Early into the curse he just blurts out the truth to everything, but learns to find a few ways to work around it.
2
@its-_-foxgrrr6041 He went there to help people and protect businesses from being burned down by BLM and Antifa domestic terrorists.

Yet here you are...
1
They're everywhere in the comment section crying about it 😂🤣
1
They only really covered the scenes they intended to pick apart. There's plenty of scenes in the movie they skipped right over. They even acknowledge that most of their criticisms are really just nitpicking. There's very few egregious errors in the movie.
1
Why would you even watch this video if you hadn't seen the movie yet!?!?!?!?
1
"The Marine Corp disavowed the movie and wouldn’t participate in the film due to how the Colonel Jessup character was portrayed." Yet they were trying to say in this video that the Marine Corp aren't fanatical 😂🤣
1
Eh, this one gets more right than wrong. They've only selected like 10 mins of the movie they thought would make good talking points. They both gave it a high grade at the end.
1
"Marines cannot help but correct civilians when called soldiers." Does it really matter? Unless they're deliberately trying to be insulting, can't you just let an honest mistake go?
1
It's not bad writing. She gets criticized a lot of Cruise and Pollak's characters throughout the movie. I assume you haven't seen the movie and you're just going by this video? Even in this video they play a short clip where Pollak is mocking her with the "I strenuously object" line.
1
Not true at all. She serves multiple purposes, and is integral to the story arc of the main character.
1
There's plenty of scenes in the movie they didn't cover and they were really just nitpicking most of the time, which they acknowledge they were doing. There's very few egregious errors in the movie.
1
Why does it even matter though?
1
"Couldn't it be that if he does "go for it" then that officer, after being cleared of charges, makes it a personal vendetta to wreck the lawyer's military career?" Yeah, that's pretty much it.
1
Just look to this comment section to see how fanatical people are about being marines. He was completely in denial about that.
1
They mainly chose scenes that they were going to pick apart. There's plenty of scenes in the movie they didn't cover in the video. Most of their criticisms were really nitpicky, which they acknowledge. There's really not many egregious errors in the film.
1
@codys7942 Intent matters. If they don't know the difference then what does it matter? They weren't trying to insult you. It's so silly.
1
There's more important things in life to get upset about than an honest mistake from someone who wasn't trying to be insulting.
1
@maromania7 That's so petty and ridiculous 😂
1
It's not whether they're allowed to or not, it's more about the potential consequences to their careers if they do, like a lower level employee snitching on someone way higher up the food chain. If your complaint isn't believed then that higher up could make life pretty hard for you or see to it that you're fired.

@Dan-vo7vc Found the body language expert 🙄
1
@aaronmaxwell7163 A great dynamic meaning they have good chemistry or work well together. That has nothing to do with their looks.
1
@Lia-uf1ir Cool story. Nobody asked.
1
@johnnyd7507 Because they're not as goddamn pedantic as you are. These are minor criticisms. The lawyer even mentions at the end that he was impressed by how many little details the movie gets right. For the purpose of this video, they only really highlighted the errors. You're also seemingly forgetting that the judge as well as her co-workers absolutely chew her out over the "strenuously object" line. It's acknowledged in the script that it was a dumb thing for her to say, so it's stupid to use that as a knock on the movie.
1
No offense, but it's usually people on the spectrum who have trouble reading sarcasm.
1
@kevingarubba1370 Should've said that the first time then mate👍
1
@westrim You'd know if you watched the video 🙄
1
@SilkyLew He's just another one of those zoomers with no attention span who races to the comment section to see what the talking points and highlights of the video are.
