I don't know what video you are watching but I see the Police car stop, the Officer exits the car and the 'alleged' offender falls to the ground. There was no 4 second gap, it is instantaneous. If he was concerned for his safety he could have...1. Got back in his car....2. Used the taser/capsicum spray....3. Shot him in the leg, not in the chest, if the Police are unable to use a gun with total control and accuracy they shouldn't be carrying one in the first place. In 99.99999% of cases the Police shoot to kill. I'm seeing it more and more all over the world, the Police just shoot without trying to diffuse a situation or to use any other form of restraint other than killing a suspect. The video is clear in that this person wasn't rushing at the officer so he had plenty of time to decide on another course of action other than kill.

The only thing stupid here is what you just said!

Clearly there is no talking to you, your mind set is to kill first. Read other comments here and no one talks about this 4 seconds you have come up with. You say in most cases the taser doesn't work so why the hell do Police all over the world still carry them? In the first instance there is only an alleged report from one person of someone threatening people, no confirmation. As for a knife, how can you see a knife in this video it's so blurred. My guess you are one of these people who believe it's your right to carry a gun no matter how many children are being killed in your schools. I feel sad for crazy people like you who have no idea that a situation can be resolved peacefully, but hey let's save time and kill the bastard right? I hope you never become a suspect where a Police Officer jumps out of his car and shoots you dead then asks "what is this all about".

One last thing you forgot to mention asshole, the man starts to slow down and is immediately shot!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wJ-PRXjaNNk....the kid was shot 6 times because he had a baseball bat and is suing the family of the boy he killed for $10 million dollars because of the stress. Please don't try and justify Police actions, they are nothing more than murders with a badge.

@manhattanmama4192 Look who is the fucking idiot now....https://www.kpbs.org/news/2015/dec/23/family-fridoon-nehad-shooting-police-san-diego/

@sayUlumme79 Dear God, because he has something shiny in his hand it's justification to kill???...Did you know he wasn't carrying a knife but a pen?...did you know that the Police Officer said he did not say anything to the man he killed, he just got out of the car and killed him....did you watch the video and see that the man had almost come to a stop when the Officer got out and killed him. Are all you fucking people bat crap stupid??...or is it that you don't value a human life as much as I do. You disgust me Brandy. As long as there are people like you in the world Police will continue to kill innocent people.
7
@timothymoran2337 Absolutely Timothy, he had options open to him other than 'kill'. The fact that he slows down as the Officer is getting out of the car suggests he was not going to attack. I'm seeing this kind of actions all over the world now. Even here in Australia 3 days ago 2 Police officers tasered a 16 year old boy 3 times. They went there to arrest him for a suspected crime. The Police said they were in fear of their lives (what they all say) but the boy was trying to run AWAY. The real problem is there is no screening of the emotional state of Officers when they are selected for a job like this one. It takes a special person to be given this 'badge of honour' that I call it. To be able to diffuse a situation without violence but sadly this is never done and Governments turn a blind eye to what they know is going on. I guess in their minds they see because of their position they will never face a situation like this so who cares??.

Clearly you haven't watched enough of these videos Mr O to see innocent people bashed and beaten up by Police...and on camera. Here's a noble idea, how about you go and watch a few hundred of these kinds of videos to get a little idea of what is really going on. You can also go and watch this one again and pay special attention to the man slowing down as the Officer gets out of the car and shoots him IMMEDIATELY!
5
@sayUlumme79 Why???...because another cop shot me?????. This morning in Queensland Australia a 25 year old man was stabbed to death by a violent person. Police attended the scene and disarmed the man using capsicum spray....not a fucking gun. Sadly many of you people love the gun and will do anything and say anything to justify having one. As long as you have this mentality your children will bear the cost of your stupidity as they are doing now. Pathetic!
5
@sayUlumme79 You continuously miss the point...the man had slowed down to an almost stop...and that coward just shot him. He was under no threat. What is it you cannot understand?????? Cops are supposed investigate a situation not take lethal action without knowing what the hell is really going on. An Australian woman living in the US rang the Police to report she has heard a woman screaming near he home and was worried the woman was in danger. The woman, in her pyjamas went to meet the patrol car when it arrived. The Police Officer got out of his patrol car and murdered her. I guess you will say he was in fear of his life from this female approaching him....right???...when will you get it through your thick skull that something is seriously wrong? Spend a day watching these videos where innocent people are being beaten and sometimes killed because your brave officers took no time to assess a situation. I have watched hundreds of these videos and in almost all cases the Officer escalated a situation that never existed in the first place then justified their actions by saying the 'offender' resisted. In one incident, a man driving down the street not doing anything wrong was brutally bashed by a gang of Police. One Officer is seen climbing onto the roof of the 'offenders' car and jumps down on his back. At least 4 officers start to pound into him whilst he's on his stomach and handcuffed. One was hitting him so hard the Officer broke his hand. After the beating the Officers are seen high fiveing each other. The innocent man was charged with Assault Police because of the Officer broke his hand. Please, have a go at defending these Officers, I'm sure you can come up with something stupid, Keep living in your dream world just remember that if you need to call the Cops for help, it may be the last phone call you will ever make. I'm done with you.
5
@sayUlumme79 Open your eyes...the man was stopping, not rushing at the Cop...he was in NO DANGER...he didn't tell the man to stop ( that's the statement from the Cop), he just shot him. Is that how the Police in the US do things???...and you keep defending him. Maybe the Police in the US should shoot everyone walking around with something shiny in their hands....you know....just to be on the safe side.

I hope you never have to face an Officer like this one Caleb. I know you are probably thinking "I'll never do what this guy is doing so I'll never have to face this situation". I have watched many of these videos and have seen totally innocent people end up in this situation because the Police Officer escalated nothing into something very serious. The most important part of this video is the fact the man slows down as the Officer gets out of the car and is shot. The Officer does not to be in a situation where he should have feared for his life as he was not being rushed at. Think about it for a second, someone reports a person walking around with a knife and that description fits you. The Officer just gets out of the car and shoots you.
4
@TheRealCitizenGhost They as in many of them...there is definitely been a change in the attitudes of the Police, same here in Australia, the Police are becoming nothing more than bullies willing to attack at the slightest provocation. In this instance there was no provocation at all.
3
@Heracles_FE Let's hope some day you are on the receiving end of this kind of Police justice...don't expect any sympathy from people who value life when you have such little regard for it yourself.!
2
@Heracles_FE One last thing you stupid fuck, the man actually stops walking towards the officer and is then shot...he presented no danger to anyone at all. But I like your idea best, let the Police shoot whoever they want, hopefully people with your mindset are in the officer's view. Serve and protect...what a joke.
2
@bobbyjoe8900 Bobby, please watch the video again and focus on the man who "almost comes to a stop" as the Police officer exits the car then shoots. The Police officer was not being rushed at and was not in any immediate danger. The man had not hurt anyone and the report is he was making threats, that is much different to actually attacking someone so there was enough evidence for the Police officer to be thinking that this isn't a life and death situation. If this is how Police in the US are trained to handle a situation God help you all.
2
@bobbyjoe8900 Check this out before you continue your defence of this rogue cop...https://www.kpbs.org/news/2015/dec/23/family-fridoon-nehad-shooting-police-san-diego/

@69goldtop14 Calling me a sissy is a very mature response to a situation where an innocent man was killed. If that's the best you have then save yourself any further embarrassment and go back to your classroom. If you want to have an adult discussion feel free to write back to me. But before you do why don't you have a look a few hundred of these videos where the Police have overreacted and shot innocent people just because they hold a badge which seems to give them the right to kill then lie about it.
2
@kittmurphy7778 I worked for the Police Department for 10 years and never saw shit like this. Pray you never have to face a trigger happy Police Officer who is prepared to shoot first then ask questions.
2
GTX you better go watch the video again...at no time did he accelerate his pace towards the officer. The officer simply got out of the car and immediately fired his gun. He lied in his statement when questioned afterwards. Initially the officer said he that he didn't say anything to the victim but later changed his statement.
1
What the fuck is the taser for then???...just something else to hang onto their batman utility belt???...what about capsicum spray????...or is that just a condiment to put on their lunch???
1
Haven't you noticed than when a Police Officer shoots, they shoot to kill????....they now forget about the capsicum spray, the taser, just shoot and make sure he's dead so he can't give evidence against you in Court. That cop could have shot him in the leg if he really had to use his gun because that guy was quite close. To me it doesn't even seem like he said anything, just got out of the car and shot him in the chest. If the victim dies that cop should be charged with murder in the first degree as it's clear to me he wanted him dead.
1
The victim didn't lunge at the officer..if he had enough time to take out his gun he had enough time to take out his taser...or his capsicum spray.
1
So this is your idea of good policing, jump out of the car and kill......I hope you're never on the receiving of a Policeman who reaches for his gun rather than his taser...both are just as easily accessible, but one has less of a chance of killing a person but very effective at stopping someone in his steps. That man wasn't rushing the officer. I'm guessing you are a cop and this is how you deal with a situation.
1
Probably and probably????....that poor man was just walking down the laneway, the cop jumps out of his car and fires his gun....the cop said nothing to him as there was no time from the cop exiting the car and the man falling to the ground. As for doing what cops tell you to do, you obviously haven't watched too many videos showing Police using excessive force and shooting innocent people...
1
Why are Police also issued with tasers and capsicum spray??....The gun was supposed to be the last resort, that is why Police around the world have been issued with them. But all too frequently the gun is pulled out and fired before a single question is asked. In this instance the man wasn't rushing at him. He had time to taser him but instead went straight for his gun. I'm not familiar with this case but it looked to me the man died. There is a new Police force out there, they are told to shoot if they feel threatened but they just shoot, even if there is no threat. It's the same here in Australia. Just today a young 16 yr old boy was tasered 3 times by 2 big brave Police officers. They said the boy was trying to get away from them so they got him but also in their statement they said he attacked them. Well what was it??..he was trying to get away from them meaning he was running away or he wasn't running away he was running at them. Life is no longer valued anymore. Who cares that this poor man is dead. He could have been suffering from a mental illness so lets shoot him and do the world a big favour.
1
You are spot on and the thing is here most people really don't give a shit because it wasn't them or anyone they know. They will sit in the front of the TV and say how terrible and never think of it ever again. This is becoming a global problem and the various Governments who should be concerned at this kind behaviour sit back and do nothing unless someone shoves it in their face on the media and they have to then comment. But that's about all that happens, they say how terrible it was, we will have an inquiry and then the Police Officers walks free just because he got in the witness box and says those redeeming words that gets all Police officers off charges...."I felt threatened"..ok you were justifies to kill him! Case dismissed.
1
@valerierodger7700 You're just an idiot....so what you are saying is that an Officer is justified in shooting you if you are carrying a pen. How stupid is that statement....what is wrong with you is that you don't value a human life. You justify this in anyway you like but it was murder. The Officer was in no danger what so ever as the man carrying the dangerous weapon (a fucking pen) had almost come to a stop when he was shot. The Officer himself said in interview he did not say anything to this poor man, he just shot to KILL.Now you try and justify that!

@TheRealCitizenGhost I don't buy that at all, the problem is they give these jobs to the wrong people...but in the US there are other reasons as well. Their love of guns have given them the mindset that they have every right to shoot someone even before they have ascertained if there is a real danger. In this case there was no danger, that is very clear from the video. The alleged offender wasn't rushing at the officer and in actual fact was slowing down and almost stopped when the officer jumped out of his car, took aim and shot him dead. How can you defend those actions. Each case is different and the officer should have waited to see if there was any danger...which clearly there was not. If these cowboys with a badge think it is ok to jump out of a car and just shoot someone dead then God help us all. Tell me what danger was that officer who shot dead an Australian woman who was walking over to the officer to tell him where she heard a woman screaming out for help. She was in her pyjamas, was the one who called the Police and because she was a concerned citizen was killed for her troubles. If you want to think that it is harder for them now than 25 years ago then just accept the fact that they should just shoot someone if they come anywhere near them. Does that work for you? I've been watching our own Police here and they are definitely more aggressive than they used to be when I worked for the Department. Two weeks ago I was sitting down peacefully drinking a coffee at a shop waiting for my wife to finish work when a detective walked directly up to me, shoved his badge into my face and ordered me to get up and walk away from the table I was sitting at. I became quite upset at this guys attitude and demanded to know what the hell was going on. He started to question me, asked for my ID whilst telling me he would reveal to me at a later stage what this was all about. I produced ID whilst still asking him what had I done. After several minutes questioning me and asking if I had been in trouble with the Police before ( I have never been in any trouble whatsoever ) he then said that I was in breach of some kind of order. He then went to his car and radioed in all my details to check if I was telling the truth. He came back, handed me my ID and told me to sit down. He was as rude as all shit and never apologised for acting like an asshole. This is the attitude that is creeping into Police forces all over the world. If you think this behaviour is acceptable then I can understand then why you would defend them. To be a good Police Officer requires a certain demeanour, but they don't seem to care when assessing a person's character to be a good officer. Go and look up YouTube videos on making a complaint against a Police officer and you will see what is really going on.
1
@TheRealCitizenGhost By the way are you aware that the man he killed did not have a knife on him?
1
@spencerwells1328 21ft rule???you mean if a person comes within 21 feet of a Police Officer he has the right to kill you?...That is the most stupid thing I have ever heard. That man posed absolutely no danger to anyone. He wasn't rushing the Police Officer and had all but come to a stop when he was murdered by the cop. Anyone who supports that cop are bigger cowards then he was. I guess when you are totally stupid you cannot see the truth.
