  2. Ford Australia had no V8's from the mid 80's to the mid 90's Ford, GMH "Holden" and Chrysler "Valiant" made a deal to stop making V8 by 1985. GMH "Holden" - GM lied and never stopped, got around it by not making any V8's in Australia and importing them from the USA. this knocked Chrysler out of the markett for almost 20 years and Ford had no V8 for almost 10 years.
