Ford Australia paid over $12,000,000 to get most of the "FORD, FALCON & FPV" number plates Australia wide, Holden paid over $ 20,000,000 to get most of the "HOLDEN, GMH, MONARO and TORANA" number plates Australia wide. Some of the plates sold at auction for more than Holden or Ford would spend on the day. (NSW plate "FORD" sold for $1,950,000 at auction to a Chinesse guy, Ford didn't get it)

So from this I take it that you have no clue about "ISLAND AUSTRALIA ALONE"
This talks about what if Australia lost all import and export.
Drilled and capped oil can last up to 60 years, key point we import oil now because it's cheap. But when the world is on the brink of running out of oil, we will uncap it. (NOTE: OPC uses the gas to get the oil out and burns it off, we don't, we sell and export the gas then cap it., later we will need to pump the oil out.)
Australia can last up to 60 years cut off from the rest of the world, but if you take oil out of the picture, Australia can remain cut off for 100's of years, All items we import can be made in Australia.
At the same time the rest of the world would start to slowdown without the exports from Australia. When China stopped the ships before we sold all the exports to other countries for the same money. Wine only gets taken out of the cask when we have a sale for it, till then it's aged.
Jobs lost in the export markett would be replaced by new jobs making things we now import. We would make cars, TV's ect in Australia again.

only 32 people were killed in the 2019-20 fires, I can give you a full list of names if you like. 451 people killed is just an upfront LIE.
Data caps?? start at 200GB on a $50 plan with phone. $65 plan with a data cap is used by bad ISP's. I pay $55 with no cap + free phone and 2 hour call time to OS free, You are about 15 years out of date.
In over 40 years of driving I have hit 12 kangaroos, 1 emu, 1 wombat and 1 toyota driven by a bloody German tourist driving on the wrong side of the road. The only reason we upload so many videos is that most of us have dash cams "we can get up to 20% off our car insurance if we have a dash cam"
Every hospital in Australia has a mental health unit, treatment is free.
Australian immigration is a fun one, we let people from all over the world in, it is easier for a person from Mexcio to move to Australia, than visit the USA.
Tax is the reason we don't get much immigration from the USA. An American living and working in Australia, still needs to pay tax in the USA for money made in Australia + Australian tax.
House prices in Australia, Most Australian houses are made out of brick with stone or steel roofs and last longer than a house made out of floor boards with ply & tar paper roofs. A steel roof can last over 100 years with no leaks and any steel roof done in the last 50 years never needs painting.
Restaurant hours, A restaurant will only stay open if it is making money, unlike the USA the workers get paid $25 per hour or more. We do not have SLAVES working for $2 an hour in restaurants

My 1990's NA Fairlane 3.9L, XA Falcon Coupe 250, changed it over to a 303 V8, XC Fairmont 351 V8, AU Fairlane 4L Tickford
My 2000's AU Fairlane 4L Tickford, AU2 Fairlane 4L Tickford
My 2010's AU2 Fairlane 4L Tickford, Mazda 3 SP23 2.3L Turbo still driving it

Linfox is the biggest fleet in Australia, some are in fleet colours and some are in brand names like Coles, Woolworths, Coca-cola, Pepsi, Australia Post, Shell Oil, BP, Caltex, Mobil, C.U.B. ect, even more are in white with no markings to tow branded trailers like Woolworths or to deal with Vegans & Greenies blocking the road.
If you have never seen ( you are passing another FOX ) on the back of a truck, you have never been to Australia or blind
The USA has 18 wheelers, but we like 22 and 26 wheelers or 34 and 38 wheelers with the B-Dubbles.

I hate working on new cars, old cars were so much better, the only down side was the points, but you could fix them on the side of the road most of the time and get a new set almost any were, I remember getting a bubble pack of spark plugs and points in the super market, you could even get head lights and coils,
Head lights, round only 2 sizers
Points & plug sets, only 6 sets, GM V8 & 6, Ford V8 & 6, Valiant V8 & 6. Life was good back then.

I drive a old T34 tank from Russia, I think I'm safe in it ............. that's when it starts, it's a heap of 💩 but it's safe, when people give me a hard time on the road I just point the big long tube thing at them, funny how people always say sorry. ....... when ever I see a speed or red light camera, I run it over just for fun, other drivers give me thumbs up when i do it. The Police trid to stop me last week, it was like driving over a speed hump. A Nissan GTR wanted a drag race yesterday and he lost, all I did was point my big tube thing at him and his car fell apart in a ball of flames with a big bang, don't know why. But if you like flying Russia made a flying T40 Tank ....... no joke, google it. ........... no you can't have what i'm smoking, i just run out 🤣

My father had a 1917 packard twin six that he got in 1955 when he was 16, played with it on the farm for a year, parked it in the back of the barn and moved to Sydney. In 2018 his Sister phoned him, " we are pulling down the old barn, what do you want to do with your car?" Father " What car? " It had sat unmoved from 1956 t0 2018 in the barn, 62 years ....... sold for $7,000, good deal because he got it for free. My father passed away just over a year later, but never stopped talking about getting a car for free and selling it for $7,000, never did say that the car had sat for 62 years and was 101 years old in his story.

I raced in Australia from 1980 to 1998, I found that being 6 foot 4 inches tall sucked, so many cars I just did not fit in. To make up for it, I did some crazy things to the wrong cars. just to list some:
1980 Datsun (Nissan) Sunny, fitted 3.8 Rover V8, with twin turbos.
1968 Fiat 850 Sports, Fitted with GM 308 V8 and VW 1600 gearbox.
1962 Mini, Fitted 1.8L Austin
1974 Morris Marina ex 2,8L. Fitted 265 Hemi
1978 Nissan 280z, Fitted 265 Hemi
1998 Holden Commodore, Fitted Ford 4L barra F6 turbo. ...... Top burnout car

In Australia
1, taps, we use both kinds
2, I use a bar refrigerator, I like to buy freash food as needed
3, US toilets have more water to keep them clean ........ sad. I just clean my toilet every day. ........ as for fluffy toilet seat covers, it just seems dirty to me and a good way to get sick
4, Most Australian homes have only 1 floor, much like the USA we have the room and land to do that
5, A lot of homes in Australia have grey water tanks, that is a water tank full of ater from every thing but the toilet and it is used for watering the grass and gardens. If you don't have a grey water tank the government will pay for 1/2 the cost in getting one.
6, Flag? what flag, who has a flag outside?
7, It's bloody hot in Australia and we love our AC, today was 38*c (bloody hot)
One more for good luck .... 110 Volts and no earth on the power to make it safe

I would not touch that car with a 50 foot pole.
I have 2 cars, 2006 Mazda 3 2L and a 1974 Cadi 472cid
The Mazda has 485,000km on the clock. Got the car new. Money spent on the car to date, 2 timing belts (every 200,000) 1 cluch @ 370,000km, refinished all 4 brake disk 2 times, oil change every 20,000, rear end bushes.
Still has factory sturts and CV's. Only thing wrong with the body, KARREN hit the back 1/4 with a shopping trolly.
The Cadi has 160,000m on the clock, I shipped from the USA in 1983 with 96,000m on the clock money spent to date 4 CV's, 4 Sturts, new front disk, 2 new Autos, 2 full sets of bushes, wiper motor, timing kit. new motor and auto mounts, I could keep going with the list, the car is a money pit. only reason I keep it, is I use it for car shows (white with red trim) at car shows I put my BOS-HOG number plates on. I do like driving it on a nice summers day with the roof down, I keep it out of the rain, it leeks.

25-30 years ago a friend by the name of Daniel Bargima was racing his fathers truck at Oran Park Raceway south west of Sydney, the Track is now gone. My oldest daughter was one his navagators in the Australian offroad racing
I know from then, it's not a case of what has been done to the trucks, but more of a case what had not been and what had been removed. All engine governing systems had been removed, his truck (Kenworth) had a 4 speed manual gearbox out of an leyland leopard bus (at that time you could buy an old 1960's bus for $1000 to $3000), the tyers were Dunlop race slicks, wouth $1800 each back then. hate to think what the price is now $$$$$$$$$$$$$ .... As for the engine, all V8's some with turbos, by now I think all would be running turbos as the cost of the turbos has come down. That is about all I know, other than Daniel span out and hit the concret wall, punched hole in it and went off to finish the race last, the truck was still able to race.

All of them were new cars.
One car not on the list was Alvis, the Alvis is the odd car out in the world, no matter how old it will hold it's value. No matter what you have done and how bad or how old it is, The Alvis can always be fixed back to showroom state as new.
The car were all hand made, plans are on hand for all parts of every car, papers records for every car are on hand.
If you Had an Alvis and it got burnt, crushed and made into cans of beans. If you have the paperwork, proof and any part., Alvis will fix your car back to showroom from it's own records. Any used part will do, a used part in the build makes it RESTORED and not NEW. Sample you can have a 1924 Alvis made to 1924 specs in 2024 using 1 1924 wheel nut and get around all the standards for a 2024 car, then replace the old wheel nut with a new one after you get it on the road, all you need is money and to ship the car to the UK and back. This is the same for any unit made for the Army 1945 and before, the cars are 1969 and before. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=COPm3M5mhl8

I remember the crowed crush from the news in Australia. Also remember the crowed crush from the football game. Did not any one remember the football crowed crash? DICK HEADS.
1 thing you can take out of the flood, is cloud storage of computer files would have made it easier to get the name of people who passed away. But this now and not then, back then it was computer HD or a book, the book would have been washed away. Most Governments have things called flood maps, that show flood zones, using most local governments only let parks, and football fileds in the zones. As I said most, others are stupid.
The limo, that's a bit of a shocker, at least in Australia the limo would have never had that sticker on the window, The plates would have been pulled off by the person who failed it. + under law if a person has not got the seatbelt on, the limo will go "BEEP, BEEP, BEEP" and send the driver nuts. After market limos from the USA CAN NOT EVER go on the road in Australia without a full refit. in the USA all the framing in the back is done with wood, in Australia it must be done with steel, may cost more, but it's lighter and stronger.
