  1. I agree I always enjoy Moran's video, however I do disagree with him in regard to the usefulness of Tank Destroyers in WW2. I feel he seems to hesitate between the tactical imperative (vital for the tank crew) and the strategic/operational imperative (why we have tanks in the first place).

  2. 0305 Based on what I've read, Tiger was originally envisioned, not a breakthrough tank, but anti-breakthrough tank. It was to stay well behind the front line, and when the enemy broke through, Tiger would race to that point, mostly sideways, and then stop the enemy at long range: Tiger's powerful 88mm and excellent optic, even though very narrow field of view, it wouldn't have mattered much at long range.
