ROK could simply move in take NK, Manchuria, and Inner Mongolia, with no potential competitor like ROC around. Why on earth would ROK intervene? For Japan, the similar scenarios, with the addition of in case of the collapse of ROC in Taiwan, the most talented engineers and the capital of ROC would come to Japan.
