How about this for a change in US policy direction???...how about the United States try and set the example of what a good neighbor should do and be like...maybe...just maybe...the likes of Venezuela would sell us oil at a discount for all our "constructive and neighborly" help...thereby reducing our reliance on Saudi oil... In other words, get rid of the outdated Monroe Doctrine of 1823...to be replaced by the Good Neighbor Doctrine of 2019... ...thoughts anyone???

  4.  @bigballer6666  you didn't mention the effects of sanctions...I presume then you don't think economic sanctions have any effect on the countries they are imposed on...if so, then remove all US economic sanctions currently in place against Venezuela and we can pick up this conversation again in a year or two to see how Venezuela is doing then... ...do we have a deal???
