A Land Value Tax (land only and not on a land's capital improvement) while at the same time eliminating income taxes for the 90% of the population would go a long way towards reducing income and asset inequality. Given land can not be 'hidden' from public view, the wealthy elite will find it much tougher to evade paying taxes. It has been labelled by some as "the perfect tax".
