There was no shortage of naysayers within the horse & cart businesses then that cried "oh me oh my the sky is fallin in if we don't stop moving towards this new tech." How funny that turned out.

Historically, horse transportation was displaced by the internal combustion engine over 110 years ago ~ that did not mean horses in general went away for good, only that they (horses) after being displaced as a main transportation 'vehicle', it held for thousands of years, they now are mostly used for pleasure purposes. Next time you have a chance, speak with an ex-Kodak executive about being displaced by technology.

  16. ​ @malcolmrose3361 and cheaper again is using your existing hws as a solar battery. Minimal mods reqd at the switchboard and no rooftop mounting reqd. Effectively creating a 10-15 Kw thermal battery storage system ~ and when 'full', unlike a rooftop hws, any further excess energy can be sent to the grid, to a home charging system for your ev, or to other household electrical devices. Use your imagination. This type of setup has worked a treat for over 5 years now.

  17. I just love how EVs permit me to become fuel agnostic. Multiple generating fuels. Highly efficient motors. Reduced servicing costs. What is not to love about these EV benefits??? Think about that for a minute.

  21. This on-the-road charging of EVs is the incumbent fossil-fuel killer tech we have been waiting for. Imagine filling your car with gasoline or diesel on the move ~ for everyone ~ not safe not happening ~ but the former can simply do it. I'll be into that

  35. Just imagine comparing today's ICE vehicles with those made 100 years ago. You would bag out the latter for sure. Now imagine today's EVs are the "starting point". How much farther ahead are they in their development to ICE vehicles of 100 years ago?! The latter has no chance for continued relevance going forward.

  48. What if these car carrier ships were run on electricity and all had V2L (vehicle to load) technology onboard whereby the electricity to transport these cars by these ships came from the cars they carry (ie, these cars are the ship's fuel tanks). Hey now there is a thought!👍😁
