  1. ​ @malcolmrose3361 and cheaper again is using your existing hws as a solar battery. Minimal mods reqd at the switchboard and no rooftop mounting reqd. Effectively creating a 10-15 Kw thermal battery storage system ~ and when 'full', unlike a rooftop hws, any further excess energy can be sent to the grid, to a home charging system for your ev, or to other household electrical devices. Use your imagination. This type of setup has worked a treat for over 5 years now.
