Upgraded my old system that was too small to start with 2 years ago (ie, Michael Moore's old tech that he used in his movie ~ it was shit). Our power bills prior to the new installation used to run us about $3500 to $4k per year (home-based business included here). Currently, over a 12 month period, this system has produced a $120 credit with the local power company. From an investment return perspective (which is why I installed this f-ing system in the 1st place), I am currently sitting on a tax-free, risk-free, stable and guaranteed investment return of 15%...where the hell else can you achieve that??????????

He has certainly dropped several rungs in my estimation of him, not that it was overly high to start with. ...2 choices really when comparing fossil fuels against renewables. We are talking about powering our world with old sunlight (fossil fuels) or new sunlight (renewables). It's that simple. This whole debate seems poorly framed, in large part I believe because of the huge vested interests in old sunlight (fossil fuels), who stand to lose vast sums of money and asset values should a full transition to new sunlight (renewables) eventuate. Hence my deep admiration for Elon Musk and how he is tackling this transitional challenge.
