  1.  @julian1259  he is aiming to create a single payment system to replace the current myriad of welfare programs...administratively it makes a whole lot of sense...then when combined with a healthcare for all system and higher taxation rates for the uber-rich, more Americans will be covered by a far greater comprehensive social safety net that the jumbled mess of shit that we have now... If I had received $1k per month back when I was going to college it would have made a world of difference...the first of which it would have given me ALOT more study time, time that was spent at one of my 3 part-time jobs needed to make ends meet.   4. UBI is not ment to be sitdown money that a person can 100% live on (maybe a small minority can, but what a shit minimalist bland life that'd be). UBI is ment to be a basic financial support backstop put in place to give people the time to move onto bigger and better things in their life. UBI is an improved form of Life Insurance.
