  1. Stephen Hawking had some entirely un-reassuring ideas. So does Elon Musk. That's why he's got such a fire in him to get the hell out of Dodge. The eventual new rulers of Planet Bot, as Earth will deserve to be renamed, are unlikely, it seems to me, to treat us like gold. They'll probably treat us more like we treat shower mold, at the same time as going to war against each other.

But you should really do something about your misanthropy. It really comes off as either sanctimony ('everybody is morally disgusting but me') or a guilt complex ('everybody is morally disgusting just like me'). Why judge mankind by the worst deeds of the worst people? Seriously, why? You're with other humans and yourself till the end. Make peace with both them and yourself —and do it now.

  4.  @mspears_bobobuddytheseniorcat  I don't recommend doubting that life is real. That's a very junky American thing. We need to put our arms around reality and hold on tight forever, not dream up the most far-out possible fantasies that we can substitute for it.
