  1. His rants don't hang together and he's not clever enough to understand the subjects he tries to tackle. But he's also not clever enough to be intimidated by that. He's like a manual labourer who goes after the university mathematics establishment, just a joke. What I like is that he's got something bad to say about everybody, so it practically doesn't matter who you're against, he's got a dig at them that you'll like. However, that's the bad side at the same time: He gets everybody riled up to no good effect because he calls everybody a liar—except for those who, like him, call everybody a liar. For example, Joe Rogan. So he's actually contributing to confusion, distrust, nihilism and chaos. If the day comes when everybody starts shooting at everybody else (a civil war or whatever will be the right word for it) he will have made a serious contribution to making it happen...while making a pretty damn good living at it. I'd say his conscience is weak in that regard. But calling Barack Obama "black Santa Claus" had me in stitches and you could see KK and FF got a huge kick out of it too. EDIT: Omg then he went on to point out that Bill Gates is only a high school graduate yet the media treats him like a virologist, and also that he was a buddy of Jeffrey Epstein. KK and FF almost fell out of their seats laughing. Oh ffs I did love that.

  2. Jim Rickards says a lot of things. Look him up years and years ago saying gold is headed to $2,500 very soon. It never happened. It went down in price instead and stayed there for years. Now he says it'll be $5,000 or $15,000 or whatever. He talks fast but says little. One learns very little by listening to him.

It's very often fat, pink and clearly well-rested. (Picture Vatican officials responding to abuse allegations. In Harris' case less so, as I see signs of drug abuse.)

Reader comments critical of the Liberal government or of the woke agenda are scrubbed wholesale from its site. The remaining comments are largely attacks on conservatives. A cesspool and an echo chamber simultaneously. (Excuse the unpleasantness of that final image, but the metaphors are apt.)

  22.  @11235but  He's saying we create the world in our minds in such a way as to make it tolerable. I think neuroscience backs him up on that up to a point. Think of babies and toddlers. Before they've reached the age where they're getting a handle on existence they're very often totally overwhelmed. Baffling data is streaming in by the terabyte and it makes no sense. Learning to cope with it largely amounts to learning how to efficiently and effectively ignore almost all of it.

  26. I was going right along with what he said until he declared there should be mandatory rehab or prison for street-dwelling drug addicts. What about them voluntarily entering shelters as a third option? Otherwise, how would it be unjustified to also clear out shelters in the same way? I'm not in favor of going from the present maximum slackness to maximum heavy-handedness. Mandatory shelter or rehab with prison as a later resort, is likely as drastic as we need to go in order to improve things and generally restore order.

Radical feminism went to ridiculous extremes against men, ordinary women either backed them or remained silent in the belief that they stood to benefit in the end (which they did), the whole thing succeeded spectacularly, and now its excesses are being imitated in a way that harms women. Hoist on your own petard.

The academic and institutional demographers say it will have 500-1100m people by 2100; avg. estimate around 750m. (Easy to google.) He says China's population will drop by at least 750m within 27 years, not 77. Nearly 3x as fast.🙄🙄

I watched a fair number of his videos during the pandemic and for the most part they met with my approval. I don't even have a problem with his credentials. Indeed, the hypertrophy of credentialism during the pandemic was one of its more ominous and unappetizing aspects. Rather, I simply don't want his credentials to be misunderstood for any reason, and my complaint is clearly addressed to KK and FF. Why are you and other people taking this in any way for opposition to Campbell or an attack on his positions? Sorry, but that's not a solid supposition at all. It's also a sign of the hyperpartisanship which just might be the chief plague of our time. I'm not calling you partisan; I'm referring to how so many people assume the other guy is probably a thoroughgoing enthusiast (i.e. fanatic) of some sort, just for seeming to disagree with them in the slightest. I hope this clears things up, and thanks for your reply.

Have a quick glance at my replies in this thread if you like, and I think you'll be reassured about my estimation of Campbell. (I do nonetheless strongly feel that 'Doctor' in his case is an academic rather than a professional title, however outstanding a practitioner of nursing, university instructor, and researcher he may in fact be—and that the distinction must be made in this sensitive context.)
