  4. A different screen containing text, diagrams and charts usually only tangentially related to the voice-over appears every 2-5 seconds. So there's 20 min. of audio with perhaps 40 min. of parallel visual content. Since it's impossible to listen and read at the same time, this necessitates endless pausing and going back. But this sacrifices the narration, chopping it up and ruining comprehension and retention. A professor who lectured in this manner would soon have no students.
