Konstantin Kisin said it well: "If you're a man, no one cares about what you go through." And he wasn't complaining either. He was just telling men what to expect, in order to help them to be ready and to handle it better. I'm not sure it ever occurred to him that it's in any way wrong. More like it's just the way it is. And of course he's right: It is.

Learn to watch for and identify contempt. It's the single strongest indicator that a relationship has zero future. Stronger than a single instance of cheating (if no contempt is embedded in the cheating).

And then "No, that's too much!" Then "I said that yesterday. Today I want more again. Women can have whims, you know!" Then "I'm so tired of all that. Now I want something totally different. Bye." After, cluck-clucking with some other hens: "Men are so klewless."

Sadly, you have to act like a parent with an immature kid. Without boundaries they h8 you, just like a 14-yr-old would within a month if you put her charge of the family. Set firm boundaries and you get the respect. They're actually totally relieved and feel grounded. (Problem is, then you're a father and a kid, not a man and woman.)

@protorhinocerator142 Not every woman, I'd like to think. But in the ordinary case, yes, certainly. And she may or may not throw it back in his face directly: She doesn't need to, because there are infinite other ways less direct and lower in risk to herself.

I'm not against you, but why do you say love-bombing is incorrectly applied? It's a term for an intense campaign to win someone over which is not in line with how well the love-bomber knows the person, and so inappropriate that it calls their motives into question. They are suspected of setting up the object for manipulation or worse.

@RikuofManyPaths So you just told me what I told you. You also told me why the term is correctly applied, not incorrectly applied. This is why YT comments suck so hard. K bye

@ Well thought out and expressed.

I doubt it's ever been much different.

None of this is news. But it's highly unusual for a woman to realize it and decide to say it out loud and in public. If you didn't stand to gain anything from it (like an income, however small, and a good chance of attracting a better man than otherwise) in some ways I'd have to hold you in extremely high esteem. Maybe I should anyway, but I've only seen a few minutes of you. All the best to you, and carry on!

Always works for me.

@markam306 In my experience they appreciate boundaries. Chiefly, I would think, because boundaries reduce the temptations which many people experience as a hassle. Of course rules get broken, but that's a separate matter we'll have unto eternity. No one ever claimed rules solve 100% of problems. If they did, we'd demand to know why the prisons aren't empty.
