Only a steaming nit could assert that when people sell their three-year-old cars, they're consigning them to the scrapyard. Of course, it's simply a practice inherent in our economic system: the well-to-do drive new cars, the less well-off buy used ones, and finally the poor buy old clunkers and drive them into the ground. Who doesn't know that? I only lack the time or I could add other howlers. Atkinson should be screened for dementia.
