@J-678hdj Canada was a fully independent country at that time, just as much as it is today. Its ties to Britain were reduced to the mere formality of the monarchy, and Britain had zero say in anything Canada did. Zero. Canada went to the war in Europe as a friend of the free peoples of Europe. End of story.
