  1. Why do you say that? He's a rich businessman with concerns about politics. He's nauseated by his fellow business people who've cynically teamed up with political activists and politicians and are a threat to the future of the sort of society and the values he espouses. I think he's sincere, truthful and very bright.

  2. Even if the book were available for free, he wants it to be read. When you write a book you put everything inside you into it, so compared to what you can say in five minutes in an interview it's got a much fuller representation of you and your thought in it. This guy doesn't need a few more dollars; he's already very wealthy. At this point he's interested in persuasion. There's no ulterior motive.

  4. He does talk about the ideas. But it's impossible to sum up hundreds of pages in a few minutes. If he wants people to really hear what he has to say, he's got to suggest they read his full explication of his ideas. "Writing ideas into a book is not the interesting part." What? You wouldn't say that if you ever wrote a book. (Or ever read many good ones, I daresay.)
