  1. The narrator's scheme of pronunciation is, uh, unique. E.g. for option she says "opt-shun" (!) instead of op-shun. Never heard that in my life. Where did they find her?

  2. Make no mistake, Carlson doesn't hate the rich. I should think he has little capacity for envy and that's the only thing that can give rise that particular hatred. He hates the power elites, who are along the lines of rich if not outright rich, yes---but they're also middle-aged, and he doesn't hate middle-aged people either. He doesn't hate people for belonging to groups or categories they never meant to or aspired to join. Power elites, left and right both---different story.

  3.  @RummyAndKoch  Yeah, it is. You've got that right, although elite as a noun is not used for an individual. Take it as a sign of hypocrisy if that makes you feel better, but it actually signifies integrity in this case, as it often is when someone is critical of the common run of their own kind.
