Turning off body cams should generate automatic alerts which must be reviewed by a supervising officer within a day of the shift. Obviously, most will just show the officer approaching a bathroom door for a personal break. Anything else would have to be looked into. Officers must know that each time there will be oversight and scrutiny.

If I were a paid Chinese internet commenter, I would post comments in non-native English calling for the death penalty for such Chinese or other spies in the US Armed Forces. That would make it look like foreign nationals in the services tend to be highly US-loyal, which in turn would make it safer for all the many other infiltrators like them who are on active duty. And it's just what I see here.

As they do that, fundamentalists lacking all conscience as they are, they amplify their rhetoric blaming the problems they've deliberately created on their political opponents. That's when their confederates in the media machine step in to support them, while Big Tech does its own heavy lifting by writing algorithms that bulldoze and bury dissenting opinion on an industrial scale. Chaos having thus been built up under cover of lie after lie after lie, the ground is ever more prepared for the implementation of a radical agenda which includes mass political repression backed up by state force—police, courts and prisons. They talk of the death of democracy as they plunge rusty blade after rusty blade in its heart. Goebbels is on his feet in hell, clapping and cheering, hopping in delight: "Ja Wohl! Ja Wohl!"

@DYLAN102001 Why don't you? Why not create a fund for doing that and put your own money into it? Start today. Or find some independent group that's already trying to get some built and donate to them. Spend your time politely canvassing for donations. If people wanted to work and pay taxes so that a million drug addicts can have a free apartment to spend their lives getting high in safety and comfort, the housing would already be built. But they don't, clearly, so it's up to you, and those who feel the same way you do, to do it yourselves. Best wishes in your endeavours to encourage and multiply addictions.

@DYLAN102001 Drugs are not only an escape. They don't follow homelessness, they precede it. You not only ignore the many millions of low-wage workers who keep it together—whose labors in fact keep the country running—you insult them terribly. Eventually you're going to kick yourself for moral grandstanding when you could have instead helped things in a logical and whole-cloth way. Actually improving things has zero to do with the great feeling of convincing yourself that you have the finest values. In fact such a feeling is a practically infallible sign you're doing something very wrong. I'm sure you're somewhat or very well-meaning, which is nice, but that's wholly inadequate. It's just the possible start of an uncertain beginning, and doesn't necessarily lead anywhere good at all. It typically doesn't. I wish you well in building something real on it because I imagine you'd quite like to.

The part they have right is that reporting is indeed an extremely important job, and it's that latter fact that troubles me so deeply.
