However, his Liberals now stand in the low- to mid-20s, which in an election today would give the Conservatives a ">99% chance" of forming a (large!) majority government. Alas we have over a year to wait, despite 74% wanting him to step down immediately. Not so funny now, is it?

The standard response: Scour out-of-town police forces for bloody-minded volunteers and ship them in to do the dirty business. Let no one be mistaken: Few Canadian cops are like this. It was not easy to find enough of them. The rest of the police are sickened by it.
