  7. 🙄 She had the country's largest journalistic stage at the New York Times! I used to read her pieces five or six years ago and believe me, she's one of the people who got us into this sorry situation. In fairness, she was closer to the political center than most of her colleagues dared reveal themselves to be, but she certainly never came out saying anything like DEI must end! She was often critical of The Times' and the left's worst excesses, I'll give her that.

It almost looks like a way of allowing more 'controversial' remarks to be made while discouraging and suppressing them at the same time. Somewhat like a bookstore with a small taboo section at the back, shabbier than the front section, poorly lit and dustier, maybe inviting a little bit of shame. Not really but almost.

  16.  @LiveFreeOrDie76  I definitely hear you, felt the same way until recently and I still have reservations about her. But I've decided that she deserves a lot of credit for acknowledging what's in front of her eyes. There's a shortage of people of that sort, and as a rule I'm fine with anyone who improves. As I understand it not many of these people become a lot more moderate. That's just my opinion, I could be wrong.
